The Woman in Black

This movie is ALL jump scares. Which I guess is cool if you like jump scares. šŸ˜ To be fair, jump scares ALWAYS work on me, even when I know they are coming, but man, they sure do piss me off.

It did have some cool settings though - I liked the road through the marsh to this wooded hillside mansion.

And the house itself was really cool. I tried to find a pic of it, but instead found this article showing how the house REALLY looks. Errrrghhh I liked it better as a creepy haunted house.

Oh, also, I was kind of hoping for an evil ghost vs good ghost brawl, like a big ol' bash with lots of fireballs or something, but it never happened.

  1. Man those movies that so technically build and execute their jump scares like a math equation piss me off. Those conjuring universe movies have them down to a science and I hate it so much.

    2. Is this from the conjuring universe? I do love the blue cold tones in this movie.

    3. You know, I was wondering if it was. I don’t think so, but there is a doll that reminded me of Annabelle, but it really doesn’t play into the story.

    4. I don't think it is in that universe. But who knows.

    6. I am curious to read the book. Not sure if the movie is at all the same.
